Welcome!
I’m James, and I’m a Humanist celebrant in the greater Orlando, Fl area. I specialize in Secular and Humanistic Jewish and Queer lifecycle ceremonies such as weddings, namings (baby and trans), and B Mitzvahs, but I am available to help craft and officiate at all kinds of Humanist and non-religious ceremonies. I would love to help make your ceremony as meaningful and fulfilling as possible!
I am specifically trained in Humanistic Jewish ceremony by the International Institute for Secular Humanistic Judaism and I am certified as a Humanist Celebrant with the Humanist Society.
If you think you might want to work with me, or if you have any questions, you can reach me at james@orlandosecularceremonies.com.

I am delighted to help you craft a wonderful, personalized wedding ceremony of any size, from a small elopement to a huge event with hundreds of guests. I will work with you to create a ceremony that is centered on you and your values, containing only those elements that you find personally meaningful. I offer options at multiple price points for different levels of complexity and personalization, and I am also happy to co-officiate if desired.
From trans namings to found family commitments to coming out rituals, I am happy to help you create meaningful ceremonies to mark important milestones in your life.

I can provide personalized, non-theistic ceremonies for all major Jewish lifecycle events, including Brit Shaloms, B Mitzvahs, weddings, and funerals.
Welcoming a new human into the world is a joyous affair, and I am happy to help you do so in a meaningful, personalized ceremony. From an intimate welcome with only immediate family to a large, community-wide naming celebration, I can help you craft a ceremony that will be worthy of welcoming your precious new life.

The death of a loved one is one of the hardest things we humans go through. I am here to help you celebrate the life of your loved one and ceremonially mark the transition to a world without them in it.
There are many important moments and transitions in our lives that we don’t have traditional ceremonies for. Marking these moments and transitions in our lives ceremonially can still be extremely meaningful, however. Whether it’s a new home, a divorce, a retirement, a health change, or something else, I can help you to develop a ritual or ceremony to mark it.
